Little DIscoverers
12 - 20 months
Little Discoverers room will inspire discoveries, promote independence, and encourage milestones to grow. Little Discoverers follows a 1:4 ratio. Parents can expect their child(ren) to experience:
Daily Prayer, Bible stories, and singing
Monthly Little Fliers'Bible Newsletter that will highlight the Bible stories we are studying and Growing with God at home activities
Developmentally appropriate activities and familiar routines
Caregivers that follow each child’s Flight Plan and use developmental screeners to create age-appropriate learning goals and objectives
Begin to “Get Set for School” with Handwriting Without Tears curriculum
Introduction to Zoo-phonics language arts curriculum, a multi-sensory (sight, sound, movement) approach to literacy development that engages young learners of all learning styles
Unstructured play and whole/small group activities to encourage children to be inventive and curious about the world around them
Discover and explore in our playscape, playground, and indoor gross motor play space
Enjoy the many benefits of being outdoors - rain or shine - using classroom oakiwear suits
Explore in our Children’s Garden and help plant and harvest by rotating different garden jobs
